Your Amazon interview process is split in two parts, first is the phone screening, normally with the hiring manager or someone close to them. This assesses your competence for the job, and whether you show enough 'amazonian qualities' for phase 2. It's a straightforward interview, but you should review the Amazon leadership principles and drop reference to them in as you go. Phase 2 is the famous ''loop' where you'll have back to back 45 minute interviews. Interview
Very positive experience. The down side was there were 6 rounds of interviews in total but they were scheduled close together. Communication was excellent and a huge amount of helpful resources provided to you to help you prepare.
Phone interview. Asked 4 typical question. The Amazon phone interview was structured and focused on behavioral questions using the STAR method. The interviewer was professional, asking about leadership principles, past challenges, and decision-making. It felt fast-paced yet conversational. I shared clear examples from my experience, highlighted results, and ended confident I demonstrated impact and fit.
