I interviewed with Amazon for almost 5 months before being dropped when they started their layoffs. I was originally interviewed for a Business Analyst role, was told they would be proceeding with an offer, and then got a call that they wanted to offer an interview as a Technical Program Manager instead. This is after completing the loop interview. I said I was interested, and then for 3 months chased down my original and new recruiters asking for updates. Finally, I asked if I could just go back to being slated to the Business Analyst role but was ghosted by the whole team, potentially due to them being laid off.
