Amazon Program Manager Non technical interview questions

Was referred by an employee for a TPM position. Recruiter reached out to me shortly to schedule the screening interview. The recruiter part of the experience is good with detailed instructions and a systematic way of choosing interview times. However the interview experience was a disappointment, considering this was a company by the name of Amazon. While I dont judge folks purely based on years of experience, it might not be a bright idea to have someone with one third of your professional experience be responsible for the initial screening call. The questions were poorly articulated by the interviewer, very vanilla and repetitive. And to add to the misery, the interviewer's accent was impossible to follow. Expected much better from Amazon!

Very long process First the recruiter calls and it was good experience though recruiter did have asked few technical questions. I was told that they will move forward with phone interview. Now comes the actual pain. After this conversation, I had to do multiple followups on update for a month. One fine day after that, I got a response from the recruiter that a POC is assigned and will be coordinated so forth. I was then scheduled with phone interview, I was prepared with all leadership skills, system design concepts, scenario based example etc before the interview. In the phone interview, finally I was asked only behavioral questions based on my experience, especially related to risk management. I was pretty surprised as I was asked to be prepped for System design mainly and now ended up with just behavioral questions. Thought, I had given the interview good and was waiting for feedback. Again the wait continues and multiple follow-ups on the next steps was done. Finally again after a month wait got a response that I am not considered to be moved forward. This is fine but it was total frustration throughout the process for multiple follow-ups and getting prepped for technical but ending up in behavioral. This feels like total waste of time. Would really rethink applying for amazon again.
