I had my first interview with HR that primarily touched a situational question and other hypothetical situation. The HR manager was so kind to steer me in the right direction and inform me that I was too high level in my answer which could lead to my disqualification (my thoughts were that it's only 30 min. call and I don't want to bore her with details that are too technical). So I was allowed to retry and structured it into the required STAR model (a must if you want to succeed in an amazon interview). I was successfully passed to a 2nd interview with the hiring manager (she was shadowed by a team member, who should not have influence on the decision but to gain interviewing experience). It was more detailed situational questions, with follow up questions asking for more details, what if scenarios, etc. Mind and thought provoking (exhausting too as it lasted for 1 hour). The hiring manager had a poker face during the length of the interview and after allowing me to ask my questions at the end, I ended with a request for feedback, but I wasn't given any and I was told that any feedback should be delivered by the recruiter. I'm now in the wait game not sure how long it lasts (luckily no rejection message yet) as I believe they are interviewing other candidates and should choose the best fit then inform the unsuccessful candidates. So, fingers crossed.
