The process was a marathon over a two month process with multiple interviews . All interviewing personal were pleasant and personable and were easy to interview with. I was offered a job and accepted. I informed HR on the day the job was offered of a felony drug charge I had from five years prior. The response I was giving was it should be big deal. We moved forward with the background check and balance of on boarding process. They informed my current employer I accepted an offer which in turn left them with no choice but to hire my replacement . After four weeks and multiple calls to various people in the organization they had not completed my background check. They were horrible about communicating with me, and were guilty of not returning multiple calls. When I did get a response they pawned the answer off to the next person. 5 weeks later when the background check came back it was filled with inaccurate reporting. I tried again to reach out to Amerigas, left multiple messages with no return calls. Several days later I got a notice they declined there offer based off the background report. I am upset that I informed them of what they would find from the start and they went ahead with the process. This affected my current employment and livelihood by them moving forward with hiring my replacement. If they were going to deny me employment on what I forewarned them about why go through the process? Moral of the story there communication is horrible and no one really has an accurate answer to give you be weary...
