I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters in Aug 2011
Interview
I called to see if american eagle was hiring before I went in the store asking for an application. The manager told me that they were hiring and he asked to come in later to fill out the app. When i went in the store I asked a worker where he was and once i found him he introduce himself, we talked about my availability, then he gave me an application. After i was done filling it out I had an interview. It was basic questions like: why AE?, What clothes do you like to wear?, Are you an outgoing person?, what would you do in this situation..........? After we were done with the interview he told me he would definitely call me back for the orientation. I would say when in the interview dont be scared just be yourself and have a smile on your face at all times. Oh yeah and please do not lie. Dont say your outgoing if your really shy because they will find out. Just have fun in the interview they are really nice.

Very chill. Wear something that they would sell at AEO, don't wear full business attire. They asked very standard questions and hired me on the spot. They just want to get to know you and aren't testing any sales skills.
