About a week after applying online, I was invited to that first interview. I had a 10-minute conversation with the manager, who suggested I apply for the lead role because of my experience. She said I’d be a great addition to the team and wanted to schedule me for a second interview. However, on the morning of that interview, I received a voicemail saying the position had been filled and the interview was canceled.

I applied online and got a call a couple of days later asking me to come in for an interview the following day. I arrived at the store 30 minutes early and asked so speak to the person who was interviewing me. I didn’t even have an interview. They just told me my resume was impressive and they want me on their team. I was hired on the spot.
