I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at American Express (New York, NY) in Oct 2022
Interview
There are two rounds of interviews. The first round is a Hirevue interview. The second round includes two back to back interviews, where the questions are mostly behavioral in nature.
The interview process was fairly structured and focused on behavioral and company-specific questions. Interviewers asked about leadership style, how you communicate with different stakeholders, and how you contribute to a team. There were also questions about the business itself, such as your favorite credit card and why, how American Express makes money, and how you would market Amex products to small business owners. Overall, it felt like they were assessing both cultural fit and basic understanding of the company’s value proposition.
It was in-person, two-people, general questions, some specfific questions on how you would apporach a campaign, They were nice, lots of people interviewing the same day. But that was the last round, before that it was a online screening.
