I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at American Express (New York, NY) in Jul 2014
Interview
The interview was very brief and casual. Just basically had to be able to hold a conversation and be social. After that there was a 3 hour closed universe written examination. If you do well on the written exam and can hold a conversation you should be ok. Senior managers were friendly.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at American Express (Phoenix, AZ)
Interview
The goal of each question asked by the interviewer was to gain examples of your experience and how it related to the job at hand. Hiring managers were very kind and open to share their experience while also learning about your own.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Express
Interview
Went through multiple rounds, everyone was friendly and asked mostly soft skill questions. I didn't end up going through with the full application process, because I got a different offer but overall it was very friendly.
Interview with director and VP. More of a general approach instead of the STAR method but they can throw anything at you. I like the process overall but not the pay!
