Applied online and later received a call from the recruiter. The recruiter gave a company overview and was honest about limited promotion opportunities and pay. Afterwards, the recruiter gave the runaround, extending next steps to be interviewed by the hiring manager by a month. He gave excuses like “the hiring manager is on vacation”. Later after several follow up emails, they decided to go with a contingent/contractor. They had no intention of hiring outside.

Interview
One interview included an Excel quiz to assess skill level. A third-party recruiter was used to find candidates and conduct phone screenings. The interview is with two different levels of management so someone can provide notes on how the interview was, while the other is asking questions
