Interview
Received a phone message from a woman that said she was from HR at a company called All Tech? She said her name so fast, I couldn't and still don't know exactly what it was. She said that she was using a cell phone and working from home. Immediately red flags went up. I called back out of curiosity and asked how they found me. She didn't know, just wanted to get me in to see someone for an interview. No prescreening questions, which I found really odd. Rattled off the address and skirted my question as to who this company even was or exactly what they did. Just assured me that I could find out in the interview. I recognized the address from experience with my previous job and decided to look it up on Google Maps. American Income Life. I slammed on the brakes. 25 years in Sales with one of the largest companies in Canada and I'm going to peddle life insurance? Not a chance. I called back and left a message that I wouldn't be at the interview.
