I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Innovations in Apr 2023
Interview
I bombed this interview since I wasn't prepared for leetcode style questions and the second half was about web development, and I'm a desktop only developer. I didn't get the job obviously, but I thought the people were nice. It was difficult to think with three other people on a call.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1st half: Solve a leetcode style question and analyze the function in terms of big O. The question was actually on the easy side but if you're unprepared it might catch you off guard. 2nd half: Architect an Instagram-like site and discuss scaling and the SQL storage. Also probably easy if you know anything about web development, but I don't.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5+ months. I interviewed at American Innovations (Austin, TX) in May 2023
Interview
The interview process was easy enough. The first two rounds were one on one calls, the next round was an easy level LeetCode question. The fourth was round was a large system design interview (how would you design this large web app). The fifth round was an interview with the hiring manager, senior team members, and developers. Last round was a one on one conversation with someone. They will completely ghost you after wasting all of your time. Terrible process that takes up too much time to be completely ignored. The position was listed as remote but the last interview was all about discussing their hesitancy to have remote employees. That should have been the first topic, huge waste of time.
