Initially it felt great. 1st phone call with human resources gave me a response in 30 minutes via email that they want me to interview with hiring manager next week. After that 2nd phone call, had a response in 30 minutes that they want to fly me out for an in-person interview. Next week they said they think they are moving too fast so want to do a Skype interview. Skype interview was on Tuesday and again, a great experience - felt like they learned more from me then I did from them. Perhaps I was too qualified for this position? 5 weeks go by, no response from them.
By week 2 from the Skype Interview, I obviously knew they weren't moving forward with me. At the end of 5 weeks, I got an email based on job alerts I set up alerting me about this "recently posted position" which was this exact position. That same day, I got an email from them saying they are moving forward with another candidate. Obviously, they had not found one within hours of posting it. Very unprofessional. It was 6 weeks from first applying on their website to being told "no thanks".
I don't know what to think, but again - I quickly looked up the hiring manager and realized I had double her experience. From the interview, she stumbled on rudimentary technical questions - I think this is what ended it. A hire that is more experience and qualified then you can be intimidating, so better not to hire them at all.
