      Interview

Recruiter call, didn't follow up even though they said they would within the next week. Quite disappointed in their lack of communication. They said they needed to confirm how many spots they were hiring in each location first.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Analytic Partners (Sydney) in Jun 2026

      Interview

The interview began with a brief self-introduction, where I discussed my academic background, technical skills, and previous experience in marketing analytics and data analysis. A significant portion of the conversation focused on Analytic Partners' culture, values, and working environment. Although I had already researched the company beforehand, the interviewers spent considerable time discussing these aspects and assessing my understanding of the organisation. Unlike many traditional interviews that focus heavily on technical or behavioural questions, this interview was highly conversational. The interviewers dedicated substantial time to answering my questions about the company, the role, career development opportunities, and day-to-day responsibilities. As a result, candidates should prepare thoughtful and insightful questions rather than expecting a purely question-and-answer format. My key takeaway is that success in this interview is not solely about demonstrating technical capability. It is equally important to actively express genuine interest in Analytic Partners, show enthusiasm for the Marketing Science Analyst role, and clearly communicate how your background, experiences, and career goals align with the company's mission and culture. The interview felt less like a technical assessment and more like a mutual evaluation of fit, motivation, and long-term interest in the organisation.

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful and insightful perspective on the interview process. While technical capability is certainly important, Analytic Partners places strong emphasis on finding candidates who are genuinely excited about the work and aligned with the company’s mission and culture of People, Passion, Growth. The interview experience is intentionally designed to be a two-way conversation. Beyond assessing skills, it allows both the candidate and the team to evaluate fit, motivation, and long-term alignment. Demonstrating curiosity about the company, enthusiasm for the Marketing Science Analyst role, and clearly connecting your experiences to the impact you want to make here can really help candidates stand out. We appreciate candidates who come prepared not only to showcase their abilities, but also to engage authentically and share what drives them. Thanks again for highlighting this aspect of the process — it’s valuable guidance for future applicants!

      Interview

First round screening, second round behavioral with general work history and technique questions, third round technical with one part general math problems and one part graph/model analysis. After each of these rounds there was immediate communication. The fourth round was another behavioral style interview with a higher up on the team, interviewer was warm and made the interview seem like a technicality just for them to ghost and never follow up after.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

There are twice as many humans in a room as there are dogs. The total number of feet and heads sums up to 420. How many people and how many dogs are in the room.

      Interview

Started with an initial screening phone call that was pretty standard compared to ones that I had done with other companies. After that was a behavioral one with someone on the team I would be working on. I never heard back from the company, despite reaching out multiple times afterwards.
