I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Anaplan (Manchester, England) in May 2026
Interview
The process started with an initial call with the recruiter to discuss the role and my background. This was followed by a conversation with the Engineering Manager covering experience and team fit. Next came a technical stage focused on Python and agentic AI, where I had to spot bugs and improve existing code. After that, I spoke with the Director of AI, which felt more strategic and focused on how I think about GenAI systems and what I understood about AnaPlan. The process wrapped up with a final call with the recruiter to discuss the offer. Anthony was my recruiter and he was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable throughout the process as well. Overall it felt well-structured and moved at a reasonable pace.
