Anonymous Software Development Engineer (SDE) interview questions

My recent interview was a valuable learning opportunity. The process began with a thorough introduction where the interviewer explained the role and the company's expectations. During the technical portion, I tackled a series of challenging problems that tested my skills and problem-solving abilities. Though I performed well in several areas, I noticed that my responses to questions about specific technical tools and methodologies were weaker than expected. For instance, I struggled with in-depth questions about the latest software updates and how they integrate with existing systems. This highlighted a gap in my knowledge that I hadn't fully addressed before the interview. Additionally, during the behavioral interview segment, I found that my examples of past experiences lacked the detail needed to clearly illustrate my impact. I realized that I need to better articulate my contributions and outcomes in future interviews. Overall, the feedback from the interview was constructive. I learned that while I have a solid foundation, there are specific areas—like staying current with industry tools and refining my ability to convey personal achievements—that need more attention. This experience has provided me with a clear direction for my professional development and has motivated me to enhance my skills and preparation for future opportunities.

The first round was an online assessment. The shortlisted candidates then had 2 rounds of technical interview and one round hr interview. Technical round consisted of coding questions and a detailed discussion on projects.
