Relatively easy and natural process. Know your resume and be able to talk confidently about your previous experiences and what you learned from them. It was nothing too technical besides the aspects about my research.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Apache in Oct 2014
Interview
Laid back interview overall. Friendly interviewers and mostly asked to elaborate on my resume and experience. Was offered an internship the same day. Declined due to a better offer from a different company. Upon declining, was asked why I chose a different company, and they were insistent that what they had to offer was as good or better. They could be a tad pushy.
