Received a scholarship from the company. Sent an email to HR and also enquired through the phone. Had a chat with the senior HR manager. Being a scholarship holder, I was told that I'm given a higher preference as a candidate. It was a long wait until I hear something concrete though. Interview was scheduled just less than one month before date of employment and received offer within 4 hours.
