Apex Group Data Entry Specialist interview questions

They reached out to me via Text message saying they found my resume and application on indeed. They told me i had to contact my hiring manager i on microsoft teams.After they asked me some basic questions and then interview questions. After i had to wait like 30 minutes and they responded saying congratulations i was hired. Then informed me that i had to purchase my own office supplies with a check they would send. I received the check. They told me after i purchased the supplies the vendor would send the offer letter with the office materials, which i felt was very odd for a company to do.
