Scheduled an interview with the recruiter and he was very inexperienced. I have been out of college for 13 years and he was asking me about the college I went to and how it prepared me for this role. I was immediately turned off. I have built Customer success teams which were then acquired... ask me questions about my career goals and interests, not what I did 13 years ago. He told me that my profile was what the team was looking for and that made me excited hoping this could be a good match. The comp was low but I told him the other companies I am interviewing at (google, dropbox, charter communications) have a much larger bank account and I would like to learn more about the ARR and individual contributing goals this role will take on. I also spoke to him about work from home flexibility and other benefits and he said back to me " Come on, you don't seem every excited about this job, we take two company trips, and this December were all going to Costa Rica! that doesn't excite you??!!" well sure it does, but I would also like to lean more about what this person will be measured by against company goals. I wrote a thank you asking for more information about the role and I never heard back. Very disappointing because this was a product I was excited to represent.
