To be fair, I did not get past the HM screen but I thought the process was quite strange. The recruiter reached out via LinkedIn and was incredibly responsive, to the point that calls and texts were sent if I did not respond to messages or emails (which I appreciated to an extent). After my short chat with the Hiring Manager though, I was immediately ghosted and was never given any feedback or follow-up on me not moving to the next round. The interview with the Hiring Manager was awkward and only lasted 15 minutes, which has never happened to me before. I understand that this is a FAANG company and is incredibly well-respected, but this experience left a weird taste in my mouth and other colleagues I am in touch with have all had lukewarm to terrible interviewing experiences with Apple. I would have expected more from a company of this size and status.

Recently had an executive interview and I knew I blew it. I was trying to play safe even though I know about the industry and wanted to ask about the future while name dropping competitions on how they intend to make a difference but my nervousness got the best of me.
