      Retail Specialist Interview

      Sep 27, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Sydney
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Apple (Sydney) in Jun 2024

      Interview

I submitted my application online, and after 3-4 days, I received an email inviting me to a phone interview. The email included a link where I could choose my preferred interview day. A friend of mine, who currently works in Apple retail, mentioned that the phone interview would be easy. She said she was only asked 2-3 questions, and at the end of the call, the interviewer told her she passed and could proceed to the next round, which was a group interview at the store she had selected. However, my experience was a bit different. The interviewer asked me 6-7 questions, and the call lasted about 20 minutes. Unlike my friend, I wasn’t told if I passed the interview. Instead, the interviewer said I would receive a feedback email in the following week. He added that even if I didn’t pass, I would still receive an email informing me of the result. So, it looks like I didn’t pass the first round phone screening. Lol

      Interview

I was interviewed at the tables just outside the store, in the mall. The three questions were, "Why do you want to work at Apple," then, "Tell me about a time when a result exceeded your expectations," and "How do you prefer to work, alone or in a group?" It was not very difficult, but I didn't get the role.
