I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Applebee's (Milwaukee, WI) in Feb 2016
Interview
I got a call back the day after I submitted my resume. They asked me the basic questions, I met with both the Manager as well as the General Manager, and I was offered a position on the spot. It was about an hour and a half process, and they asked me quite a few questions about my work ethic, as well as how my past skills might apply to this job. They told me what the company was all about, and I was rather impressed.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"How would you deal with an angry customer?" "What do you think you bring to the company if we were to hire you?" "If a problem arises what steps do you do to solve it?"
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Applebee's
Interview
In person interview. They asked many personality fit questions. Seemed like they care more about if you fit their vibe rather than your experience or aptitude as a server. Quite liked my interviewer honestly.
“The interview process typically starts with an application review, followed by an interview with the manager to assess customer service skills, availability, and experience. Depending on the role, there may be situational or behavioural questions to understand how candidates handle teamwork, fast-paced environments, and customer interactions. Successful candidates may then proceed to onboarding and training.”
Did an interview with assistant manager, lasted five minutes and they wanted to do another interview with the head manager.
Only asked me two questions which was weird, I never had an interview like that before.
Pretty pointless imo and I don't think they respect your time well - from reading other reviews it seems quite unconviential though so maybe it was just a weird store.
