I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Applebee's (South Bend, IN) in Sep 2016
Interview
The whole process took less than a week. I was called one day after I put in my application, my first interview was Tuesday, and my second interview was Thursday. I was hired Friday and my orientation was Saturday. My first interview was with the hiring manager and he seemed almost more nervous than me. The second was with the general manager and I could tell he was trying to look very intimidating but he was also nice too.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me a lot about school (because I was in high school) and why I wanted to work at Applebees.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Applebee's (Bensalem, PA) in Apr 2026
Interview
Brought in for multiple interviews. Given conflicting information on whether I had the job or not. Given run around on phone then finally never contacted again. Managers are 30+ minutes late for interviews. The hiring manager was the most unprofessional of them all.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked about previous work experience and why I felt I was best for the position.
This was a pretty easy interview process. I was asked if I had ever dealt with difficult people and to say what was my motivation for wanting to work at Applebees. It was overall very chill and I enjoyed it.
It was very simple, on the Applebee's web site, I selected a place and position. Answered about 5 mostly contact related questions and then selected a time for a 1st interview. I think they mostly wanted to see that I was early, dressed nicely (but I didn't wear a tie), and had a pleasant personality via a smile and firm handshake. I was called back for 2nd interview. I am currently waiting to hear back, but think I got the job.
