I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Applebee's (Everett, WA) in Apr 2022
Interview
He asked me a bit about my job history since my resume apparently never made it to him. Then after I talked about that for a bit, he made it clear that they never hire bartenders from outside the company and that they only hire servers and give servers the chance to interview with the district manager to be a bartender. This bait-and-switch left a bad taste in my mouth and whilst I would have normally considered a server position, the dishonesty made me end the interview early.
Unorganized they scheduled an interview but don’t have you come in for the interview. I waited almost and hour after my scheduled time in order to be seen and it just wasn’t a great experience
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Applebee's (Kearny, NJ) in Oct 2024
Interview
Asked me about my previous work experience and asked a couple of drink recipes. In general was fairly simple and questions were easy to answer if you have experience behind the bar.
Three rounds of interviews for this place? It’s kind of ridiculous to have that many interviews for any bartender job, let alone this one. Easy, but a total waste of time.
