I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Applied Materials (Singapore) in May 2019
Interview
Attended 2 interviews.
1st interview was with HR, 2nd with department manager.
Had 2 missed calls from them after the 2nd interview while travelling. When I finally got to speak with them after a number of attempts to contact them, I was only asked if I was still available. That was the last time I heard from them.
Questions were quite typical, such as describing your strengths & weaknesses, and why you're want the role.
They also talked about a new comprehensive 12-15 months program for fresh graduates involving job rotation.
TA contacted me via WhatApp (not expected for a big Company) for initial screening. Scheduled an onsite interview (need to follow up before they set the date). Interview went well though not convince why I want to leave my current job and questioning my loyalty. Interviewer was the Country head of the department told me that he will endorsed me for the next round with the hiring Manager. He is nice and easy to talked to, and gives me some advice on how do I present myself to the hiring Manager. Then, I was ghosted. No updates, no word from the HR after the first interview.. There is no formal communication so I just message through WhatsApp where she initially contacted me.. But no response at all and I realise that I’m just waiting for the false hope. I don’t expect this kind of treatment on the applicants by this big organization. Very unprofessional and disrespectful to candidates.Appreciate if a simple message of ‘unfortunately we decided not to proceed with your application…’ was sent. Advice to HR: Respect candidates, we appreciate a simple rejection message than ghosting us, especially if the previous interview gives you hope for the next round..

Question 1
Convince me why you want to go back to Manufacturing?
for me, there was 1 round with multiple Hiring managers infront of me. Each took turns asking me questions.
Took a while for them to get back about 3 week to 1 month

Question 1
Tell me about yourself, and they asked me about the projects ive done
Two rounds, hiring manager and director, normally manager more important, as long can get a positive impression, should be more or less good enough for 2nd round. May have US interviewer for 2nd round, thus timing wise could be tricky
