Comprehensive and lengthy interview process. 4 rounds. Recruiter screen, Technical Round, Hands-on DE project in office, BG check, Behavioral Interview. Was rejected after the technical round. Panel of 4 for the technical interview but only 2 showed up. Only thing I despised was that I was interviewed by someone who had only been a Data Engineer for 2 months and evaluated me based on his half-knowledge. For example, he asked me if I have used Python for Data Engineering to reduce costs and I replied I only use PySpark for DE as Python is not capable of handling large volumes of data. He was so confident that Python can, probably because he was dealing with small datasets. I didn't want to sound rude, so I asked if he was sure Python is better than PySpark for handling massive data and he was so sure. And keep in mind he is the only Data Engineer in that team. Also, the questions were very rapid more like they just want someone with a very specific background.
