Received a tour of the facility then went into a conference room with four other people and proceeded with interview questions. The people giving the tour were very nice and just made small talk.

Question 1
Q: Explain in depth your current or previous project work and designs.
I applied online. I interviewed at Applied Medical in Nov 2024
Interview
After viewing the wide salary range listed in the job posting, along with the interview questions in the screen call, it is evident that they prioritize candidates who will accept low salary offers. The screen call was done by their HR and was off-putting and informal. Questions were read from a script and do not allow interviewees to highlight relevant work experience unless it is related to your current position. I recommend being transparent with salary requirements to avoid wasting excessive time with this company. I was quite taken aback by their unprofessional.
The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Applied Medical (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) in Sep 2024
Interview
The interview process was very lengthy compared to previous experiences. I had a referral from a current employee. There were 3 separate interviews over the course of around 6 weeks. The first was a phone interview with a non-technical recruiter. They only asked general screening questions. The next interview was around 2 weeks later and was a webcam interview with 4 managers/engineers. It was more technical; they asked questions about my resume and about my past experience. The final interview was approximately 3 weeks later. It was in person with 6 managers/engineers. They provided a prompt a few days before to create a 20 minute presentation about a surgical procedure. It was followed by about an hour and a half interview asking technical questions, questions about my interview, and questions about my past experience.
