I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Applied Medical (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) in Sep 2015
Interview
The interview process started with a phone interview. Be prepared to describe yourself and the engineering experiences that have defined you. It is essentially reviewing your resume and you as a person. It lasted about 30 minutes and the interviewer was friendly. I was called back for an in-person interview as well. It consisted of a an hour interview where you present your portfolio and engage with a panel of 4-5 people from various engineering departments. Many technical questions were asked regarding general engineering principles, teamwork, and troubleshooting. I unfortunately did not get the job after waiting for about 3 weeks and getting feedback that I had a good chance.
