I had a phone screen, then was invited to come in and interview with three members of the Hiring Team in late November. The interview was about an hour and a half. A week later, I followed up with the HR Recruiter and was told I was a strong candidate, and they would like to invite me back for an additional half-day interview. I was told that they would invite me back the following month since members of the team were going to be out of the office (this was all during the holidays.) When January rolled around, I reached out again to HR to follow up. Again, they told me they were interested in bringing me back, but were still interviewing other candidates. I was told (again) that they would schedule an interview with me once they were done with the first round of interviews. It has been almost two months, and I have not heard back from anyone. I take it as they decided to pursue other candidates. However, it would have been nice to have been told this in the first place instead of getting the runaround. The hiring team clearly did respect me or my time enough to let me know they did not want to move forward. Nobody likes to be strung along, and it's disappointing to see that seemingly reputable companies behave this unprofessionally during the hiring process.
