Extremely unprofessional and irresponsible HR. (Read further for details.)
Hiring process has 2 parts:
- Online Aptitude Test + Behavioural Analysis Test (to be taken on company premises)
- F2F interviews
Company's HR invited me for an interview after obtaining my resume from a job site. The Aptitude Test consisted of 50 questions to be answered in 22 minutes, and was extremely easy. The Behavioural Test was time-unlimited, and also consisted of about 50 questions. I waited for about 30 minutes after the test, and was told that I have not advanced to the next round. I found it rather surprising, but decided to accept it and move on.
A couple of days later, another HR person called me and informed me that there had been an error and I have actually advanced to the next round, and if I was still interested, they would invite me for the interview next week.
I didn't get any interview invite until Wednesday of the following week, and so decided to call the HR and find out what's going on. I was now told that "panel is on vacation", and interview would be scheduled next week. I have heard this excuse a number of times when the HR wants to backtrack from an interview invite but doesn't have the courage to say it, but I decided to give her the benefit of doubt, and waited till next week.
Two weeks later, I still did not hear anything from them, and it was now obvious that they wanted to back away from inviting me for interview. This entire episode was a bad experience due to the unprofessional and irresponsible handling by the HR.
I don't have any problem with the company using bizarre tests and processes to hire candidates, but first telling me I had failed the test when I had not, and backtracking on it, and then completely cutting off communication, despite having initiated it themselves is good reason for me to blacklist them, and also recommend others to do the same.
