They don't have a clue!
I applied for a Manager job and did not hear back from them at all. After two weeks, I sent an email to a VP located in the US, which helped initially to start the interview process. But the local HR at Bangalore did not bother to review my profile or check where I was located. I got a generic email asking me to appear for interview (first round) the next day at Bangalore and that would take half a day time. My efforts to make them understand this simple fact that I'm not from Bangalore to attend the interview personally took two weeks for their intelligent minds.
My constant follow-up with that HR and her Manager only proved that they are totally uninterested in their jobs at Aptean. During my follow-ups, there were numerous times my calls were not answered, messages were not responded, emails were ignored. It almost took a month for me to get an answer that they have budget constraints and cannot provide me an offer.
But, all these frustrations could have been easily avoided, if someone from their HR team was smart enough to call the candidate and speak to them and understand if they fit their requirement / budget instead of that "daft" online Personality and Aptitude test they conduct, no matter what role you apply for. Because of their inefficiently, I not only wasted my time completing their unintelligent online tests, but also on following-up with their disgruntled HR team.
First, they need to treat people like living beings and use their best judgement in interviewing candidates according to the roles they've applied. The recruiters are horrible, they are turning good talent away. My experience with Aptean recruiters has been terrible, and as a manager who is actively involved in hiring, I could understand how much they have become useless and cause potential damage in driving away all the good talents.
