Process was very strange. I received an email from HR asking to schedule my first interview with the engineering manager. I wasn't sure what to expect, but since this person was supposed to be my boss, I figured there would be some sort of technical question, or anything about my work history that would correlate with the position opening.
Instead I was just asked about my resume, which is fine. Then I was told about the product, the company goals, etc...but no further questioning about me. As this person was going to be my direct supervisor, I figured there would some sort of technical something, but nothing.
Everyone was nice, and very professional, it just seemed odd that an engineering manager would be asking such generic questions, rather than getting into the meat and potatoes.
