We make choosing clean energy easy for everyone, no matter where you live or who your utility provider is. Our platform connects customers to clean energy sources. I want to clarify that Arcadia's business is NOT "selling consumers prepaid energy credits to off-set carbon futures they buy off another market." Arcadia’s technology does the hard work of analyzing, understanding, and managing our customer’s utility accounts for them and saving them money so they can do a lot of good without doing a lot. We also have the nation's largest community solar program, where we connect members to local solar projects where state legislation allows. Our interviewing process follows a structured approach in which Arcadia team members are evaluating if candidates demonstrate the core competencies for the role as well as our core values. We ensure all members of the interviewing team understand the required competencies, technical requirements, and job description. We pass along the same information with our external recruiting partners as well. For this role, we are specifically looking for experienced full-stack software engineers who are as comfortable building and maintaining complex APIs as they are creating highly performant delightful front-end experiences. Regarding your comment that we "won't test in any particular language but that the work is solely in reactJS," I want to clarify that we have a robust test automation framework in place that ensures high coverage of our applications. We test our Ruby code with RSpec and test our front ends with Jest, Enzyme, Puppeteer, and Cypress. You can read more about our engineering team values and strategy here.
