Interview
1) Received an email from a recruiting manager asking for a phone call with her.
2) Set up a in person interview with the store manager.
3) Had a phone conversation with the regional manager - who said ultimately it was up to the store manager to offer a job position.
Unfortunately, my interview experience was disappointing. The interviewer called several minutes late and had a poor connection, which made the conversation difficult to follow at times. What stood out most, however, was the lack of engagement. I was asked very few questions, and instead, the majority of the time was spent listening to the interviewer speak at length about their personal connection to the company's founder.
It felt more like a monologue than a conversation, and I left the call with very little understanding of the role, the team, or what they were looking for in a candidate. I had been excited about the opportunity, but the experience left me questioning how seriously they take the hiring process.
