Pre screen less than 30min. My suggestion unless you are dressed like a model and nice looking don’t bother to apply that’s the pre screen. Contacted by admin to schedule interview. Very organized.
I interviewed with a recruiter, hiring manager and cross-functional partners (3 interviews total). Interviews were informal. I was given an opportunity to ask questions as well. I was not given a call back to let me know if I had gotten the role (I know now that I didn't).
I applied online. I interviewed at Aritzia in Nov 2020
Interview
First few interviews went well! I was then asked to do a project that I was told it would be brief but turned out to be pretty involved to complete on top of working at my current job. I managed to complete it and presented it to the director. During the interview she kept asking me where I got my inspiration from. She was writing the references down and even asking me how to spell the names out. After the interview I then come to find out that I am no longer considered for the role. I truly feel used and feel like I did a project to just have my ideas stolen. The industry needs to change-especially for candidates like myself who have a proficient enough portfolio to get a POV of my work. This is just a way for employers to get free work and ideas.
