the interview process was extremely unprofessional and chaotic.
first, the interview location was moved last minute to a much farther away aritzia. fine, things happened. the first round was crazy. there were so many people there, and they were running very late. i started my interview like 20 minutes after my scheduled time. simple chit-chat and basic questions. lasted like 10 minutes.
i hear back the following day via text to come in for a follow up with the regional. they only provided one day and time and i of course couldn't do it because i'm working, so i told them that it would have to be the following week. i hear back five days later via text to come in the NEXT day late in the evening. very last minute and inconvenient. i went anyways.
went i went, there was another hiring event happening, so there was a lot of confusion and no one knew where to take me since i was there for the second round, not the first. did the interview. again, simple, only seven minutes, a waste of a commute on my day off.
i was told i would hear back on monday, never heard back.
not even a rejection TEXT after all the nonsense i had to go through. if i had gotten the job, i was going to turn them down anyways because there are no benefits, even if you're working full-time hours. the work environment from what i was told seemed very stressful for no benefits so i'm glad i dodged the bullet.
i think they sensed that i wasn't happy about the lack of benefits or really any positives to working there, which is probably why they didn't offer me the job.
i think this is a job for a high schooler, college student or someone who doesn't care, not a professional. i've been in the retail industry for many years, and this was not it.
aritzia, respect people's time and effort. it's not that hard.
