I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Aritzia (Ottawa, ON) in Jun 2024
Interview
It was conducted by the district hiring manager and store stock manager on the signature couches within the store and both were super chill, yet professional. The only thing that made me nervous was that the store was open and you had both customers and other employees watching you, almost felt like I was on an outfit judging panel. That was mostly a worry due to overthinking what I was wearing again and again. But! So long as you’re confident and don’t show signs of high nervousness, I think you’ll do well.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I had been asked several questions, where I was located, if I’d be willing to work at either of the locations hiring, why I didn’t apply earlier, how I got comfortable jumping from cash to sales at my other retail job, how my current employers would describe me in three words and what my availability was like?
Had to go to a location for in-person interview (meet and greet). The interview process was very quick and straightforward. After applying, I received an email invitation to schedule a 15-minute in-person "Meet and Greet" with the talent acquisition team. They provide a self-serve booking link to choose your own time slot, but you have to act fast because they fill up quickly. The evening before the interview, they send a helpful reminder email that includes specific arrival and building security instructions. They also make it clear that if you've already attended a recent hiring event at one of their boutiques, you don't need to attend this one.
