This is one of the worst interview experiences I have ever had. I went to the store, checked in with someone, and they told me to wait on the couches for someone to come and get me. Other candidates would come and sit on the couches and be taken for interviews, I was not acknowledged by any employee. At the 45 minute mark, I went back to the employee I checked in with, apologized for bothering them, and let them know I’d been there a while and was still hoping to be interviewed. I waited another 20 minutes, felt like my interview wasn’t taken seriously, and left feeling extremely self conscious about my body and what I wore for the interview. I am usually very confident in my personal style and my body shape, but being in that store environment and the way I was treated compared to other candidates who looked very different than me made me feel really horrible.
