I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Army National Guard (New York, NY) in Feb 2014

Interview

Recruiter saw that I had a pulse and was not stupid. ROTC for a few years, graduated college and commissioned as a second lieutenant. Then I went to BOLC in the middle of nowhere. Drug tests require someone to literally watch urine leave your body. That was uncomfortable. This process is continued for the rest of your time in the organization.
