Interview
No phone screen as first interview - went straight from recruiter email into technical interviews. All other companies I have interviewed with at least have me talk with someone on the phone or zoom before going into the technical interviews. Overall process was good and the recruiting team was very responsive, but again all through email. The interviewers got straight to the technical interview and it wasn't very welcoming at all. I barely got their name before they asked me to start working on the coding puzzle. Brush up on your array knowledge and callbacks as you aren't able to reference your previous code or google anything. They allow you to google basic syntax only.

Question 1
How do you write a function to validate a solution to problem X?
Started out with a recruiter screening, then a marathon coding interview (3 hours back to back). Honestly I just got fatigue. Nailed the first one, the last two were medium difficulty leet codes, but seem hard after hours of coding interviews.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Art of Problem Solving (San Diego, CA) in Aug 2024
Interview
Was contacted by recruiter for job I was loosely qualified for. Did interview and was passed to a different job I was definitely very qualified for instead and asked to interview again. Unfortunately they go by the old way of gotcha live coding challenges as part of their interview and for many very qualified people like me with certain neurodivergent issues these are just not really possible to pass. It's impossible to come up with a live solution to an algorithm with people staring at you through it when you have autism and other neurodivergent issues. It makes me really sad that in 2024 we are still rejecting people with 6+ years of live Enterprise coding experience because they can't do a freshman college bit of code while people stare at them and they only have 15 minutes. Truthfully for anyone else it's probably very easy questions but to someone with these issues it's a non starter. You are rejecting great workers and very qualified people for the hope of needing to weed out someone who has I guess faked that they know what they are doing for 6+ years. Truthfully it doesn't even make any sense and no company worth it's salt really does these anymore.
This is more an advice to management that maybe you should come up with a better way. Send some take home code to correct, send them pull requests that need review, give them a project that will take an hour or so. Literally anything other than actually giving very qualified people a panic attack and then deciding on their performance during said panic attack.
