I applied online and a week later HR reached out to schedule a Zoom interview. The interview was relatively basic with the questions revolving around my edtech marketing background, and how I would approach marketing at AoPS. I was told that I would hear back the following week regarding next steps. That week came and went. The following week I sent an email to HR asking for a status update about the role. I did not receive any response. I waited another week before I sent another email asking for a status update. No response, again. The following week I sent another email, with no response. During the interview process the HR representative continually emphasized how important this role was to the company. If it’s as important as explained, I’m left wondering why HR decided to ghost candidates. I never did receive any response. Not even a simple “thanks, but no thanks” email. Overall, the lack of any response is extremely unprofessional, especially for an executive-level position.
