I applied online. I interviewed at Asana (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2017
Interview
I've applied online and was contacted the next day to schedule the initial conversation with the HR representative, who was very accommodating at first. My process consisted of the initial phone screening with HR, an interview with the hiring manager, and an excel assignment to build out a SaaS model--which was more so a P&L. Unfortunately, I did not get further than this step and was not provided feedback into why.
I've followed up with HR a few times to gather some feedback from FP&A, however, the meeting would constantly change due to last minute meetings at Asana. That's fine, it's understandable--things happen, and I felt like I was very accommodating to the sudden changes. Everything was great until this part, I've even praised HR on their help thus far! Anyways, we were able to finally schedule a meeting a few weeks later, however HR called 10 mins after the scheduled time, and was on a blocked number, which ultimately lead me to miss the call with no call-back number. The numbers that were used to contact me previously, routed me through Google Voice and I was unable to get a hold of them. I immediately followed up with an email about what happened, thinking it would be no big deal, but nothing. All communications with HR seized at this part. I was furious. I felt like I was strung along by HR to gather feedback, but they had no intentions of discussing it with me. I guess everything worked out in the end. I can't imagine how I'd get treated as an employee, had I've received and offer and moved all the way to SF. This was truly a disheartening experience, not because I didn't get the offer, but how it all played out towards the end. Definitely not what I would expect from an organization rated so highly on Glassdoor.
