Had an initial phone screening scheduled with the recruiter. That got rescheduled about an hour before I was suppose to hop on the call. During the rescheduled call, the recruiter didn't really seem interested in my experience, but it wasn't the worse conversation I've had. I wish they would have went over the interview process more extensively. Moved on to a zoom call with the hiring manager. That got rescheduled morning of to 2 weeks out because he had covid, which I completely understood. During our rescheduled call, I had an enjoyable conversation with the hiring manager. He explained the role well and was enthusiastic throughout the call. Had an open-ended case study take home assignment, which was due in 72 hours. Because I had vacation planned, I asked for an extension which was granted. The assignment was 2 prompts. Prompt 1 was asking to analyze a data set and determine which of 2 method was better to determine a conversion. Prompt 2 was to come up with a revenue forecast based on actual numbers given. Overall, assignment took about a day to complete. After turning in the assignment, I was rejected without meeting with a member to go over my thought process. Asked for feedback from the recruiter and was ghosted. Overall, if you're asking someone to commit weeks of their time to go through interviews and spend unpaid time to complete a take home assignment, which specified there were no wrong answers, at least have the common courtesy to have a call and review it with them. Even providing feedback after they ask would be nice. If you weren't planning on hiring a candidate anyways, don't waste their time. Second time this has happened, interviewing for a role at Asana.
