      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Asana (New York, NY) in Jan 2024

      Interview

Long. I ended up interviewing for several different roles over about 4 months. I would get scheduled to speak with a TA or Hiring Manager and after days or weeks be told that there was already someone further in the interview process than myself but that they wanted me to interview for another role. It was exhausting, but I enjoyed all the people, products, and problems the team was solving so I really wanted to explore the additional opportunities. At the end, I think the team dragged out the process and made my final interview opportunity seem like a done deal. Which it was not. I got a call that I didn't get the third position I had done a full interview cycle for and then never heard from them again.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Basic questions about my experience working with other crafts and my time spent as an IC vs. manager. The questions weren't anything unusual, there were just a lot of them with different people.
