      Advertising Analyst Interview

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Asana

      Interview

I applied online then the next day, I received an email to schedule a phone screening with the recruiter. The recruiter was extremely intelligent but personality wise was a little dry. I did a phone interview with the Hiring Manager within the same week. The interview was OK, the hiring manager seem to have a dry personality as well so I was thinking maybe this isn't the right company for me. But anyway, the questions were very cutthroat, he asked lots of questions around audience targeting, B2B, and strategies, but it seemed to me that he only wanted notes/answers for himself and not actually listening to what I thought -- turn off. If you are planning an interview, make sure it is a two way conversation not grilling me for answers that is a ploy for your own advantage. After the phone screening and interview, I didn't heard back till a month later saying they decided to pass on my application. Thankfully, I don't see myself working for a company that is so dry. Asana seems like a fun company but their employees don't mirror it.
