Ashby, an ATS company with very little care for the interview process and the candidate. I’m extremely disappointed with this process. I will not say it was a waste of time because you always learn something new, but I felt very disrespected. First red flag: I sent a total of 3 emails with questions throughout the process and the recruiter did not reply to a single one of them. All I got were templated emails to organise the interview and then the take-home assignment, which is okay, seen it before- I get they get a lot of applicants and do not want to waste time. At least they could be a bit different and original, since again, you are an ATS company. Then they said they’d give me feedback no later than Friday. I heard nothing until Monday, no apologies, just another templated email for the next steps. The take-home assignment took me an entire day (despite them stating it takes about 1,5 hours), I put a lot of effort because I was very interested in this position only to get (again) a templated rejection email with 0 feedback whatsoever. They only said they went for other candidates that align more with them. Basically the kind of rejection email I would get after simply applying for a role, not doing any interviews. And when I asked for more detailed feedback to help me learn from my mistakes… surprise! No reply. But hey! I like being fair. There were 2 good things I can say: 1. The job description is super insightful and they publish the salary range. Well done there. 2. The recruiter was super nice, easy to talk to, I really enjoyed our conversation. A company whose product is a recruiting tool should never allow such disrespect for candidates, ever. I was also not impressed with how you use your tools with your candidates. You can do so much better and I hope you do for future applicants. Best of luck!
