I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Aspen Dental (Saint Louis, MO) in Nov 2014
Interview
The regional manager did a phone interview. He was clearly reading straight from a script. I didn't get the feeling he was actually listening to my answers. There was no back and forth. He was exactly the same in person. He asked me questions from a piece of paper, listened to half my response, and then cut me off with another question. Some of the things he asked were confusing and when I asked for clarification, I could tell he didn't know what he was really talking about.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you respond to a patient who just wants a cleaning instead of SRP?
The scheduled a phone conversation and seemed to like me but didn’t want to pay abverage salary due to not paying the existing hygienist a good salary meaning they couldn’t pay someone new more.
Phone interview
Was very pushy and detailed how working there was exhausting her her(the interviewer)
She was nice and explained all details
And did follow up with my several times in case my thoughts changed.
Interview was good, answered a lot of questions, interviewer was pleasant and seemed honest. Did not discuss paid time off so I left with questions about that so i am worried it’s not a good selling point
