I interviewed at Aspen Institute in Jan 2021

      Interview

The interview process was pretty straightforward and lasted about a month. The first interview was with the hiring manager via Zoom. Lasted about an hour and discussed my background, the responsibilities of the role and then there was time for me to ask questions at the end. I was contacted 10 days later to schedule a second interview. This interview was with the hiring manager and the department lead via Zoom. Again, went over the role and was asked hypothetical situation-based questions. After this interview, I was told a decision would be made within a week. It took about 10 days until I heard back and it was an automated email letting me know they decided to go with another candidate. It was disappointing to only receive an automated email as it would have been nice to receive the rejection email from the hiring manager. Regardless, it was a straightforward process and the company is doing great work.
