Aspire Global interview questions

I didn't actually make it to the interview, but was asked to complete a task upfront. I completed this, despite it being quite badly briefed in, and many of the questions being irrelevant to the role I would have performed. The company seemed to like my initial task however, but gave me a second task to complete. This task was extremely strange, and was simply a link to 'examples of killer copywriting', of which I had to choose three to five examples and 'create alternatives'. The brand wasn't specified, and when I asked I was told to use the main Aspire Global brand. As strange as this task was, I completed it to the best I could, only to be told a week later that I shouldn't have written it for the Aspire Global brand and I had completely misinterpreted the brief. They therefore wouldn't be giving me an interview. I'm not sure if they even know what they're looking for!
